Nodes of different generations: do they sync/play without issues for "whole house"...
AnsweredHello All:
i will have Nodes from different generations:
1 Node 2i (from ~3 to 5 years ago)
2 Node (current generation)
1 Node X
May i please ask if they will all play sync'd music (Tidal) without issues even though they are of different generations?
i only use Tidal, and i already have the several years old Node 2i, but am in the process of buying 2 new current Node models, AND a Node X for my main system. each Node is on a separate AVR and room and system.
from time to time, i might want to play 2 or more of these systems together to have "whole house music". the most likely scenario is that i'd play the Node X and the Node together, or maybe the Node X and TWO Nodes together.
my concern is that as they are from different generations, they may not play sync'd music together without problems. again, i only use Tidal (thus far).
thank you all in advance.

Bluesound devices are designed to work together and support synchronized playback, regardless of their generation. Tidal integration is a core feature of Bluesound products (among other music services), and we have implemented synchronization with Tidal streaming for multi-room audio. This means that you should be able to play Tidal music across your different Nodes, even if they are from different generations, and have them synchronized for whole-house music.
We hope this information helps, and we wish you the best in creating your whole-house music setup. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
