NODE (n133) as Preamp into NAD power amp

Hi all,

Wanting to use the new NODE as a streamer-preamp directly into the power amp section of my NAD c720BEE receiver. Trying to reduce complexity for multiple users and utilize the app and NODE top slider volume control. I have 2 questions.....

1) Will using the volume control on the NODE sound as good as using the preamp in the receiver? I understand that using digital volume results in losing bits in the signal.

2) The power amp has an input impedance of 20 kohm + 470 pF and a rated sensitivity (at 8 ohms) of 630 mV and a voltage gain of 29db. Would the output of the audio section of the NODE be compatible with this amp?

  1) That is for your ears to decide - choose fixed or variable volume in the BluOS App and decide for yourself.
