MDC BluOS Node 2i on NAD M12, the source selection has disappeared in the M12 front panel
I cannot select the BluOS source on the front panel of the M12 installed with the MDC BluOS Node 2i. The MDC BluOS Node 2i module is wired to the network to a NAS. For other sources (Optical, Coaxial, Balance, single ended), I am able to select the source and it plays.
Selection on the BluOS app (iPhone) had also disappeared. I can adjust the volume, reindex the songs, browse the the shared folders with the BluOS app but on the M12 front panel, the BluOS is not displaying and there is no sound from the speakers.
What is wrong? Please help me to solve this issue as it was working before.
Best Regards, Yew

On Wednesday June 23rd, we released BluOS 3.14.26 which should resolve this issue affecting source selection on NAD Master Series M12 and M32 using the BluOS App via the BluOS MDC. Thank you for your patience and we do apologise for the inconvenience.

Hi Yew Hong
If you scroll through some previous post on this page you'll find a similar poste I wrote approximately a week ago.
First I was told to reset my whole system in order to fix it, which of course is bull#@#t. But eventually I was in contact with the bluesounds engineers and they found the same issue as me and my friend has on our NAD M32, which is exactly the fact that the source selection is now gone AND it doesn't automatically switch to the bluos input when playing a song from for example tidal. The engineers are working on a solution to fix this, however they can't provide an exact date for the fix to release, but my gues would be within 2 to 4 weeks.

Hi Steffan
Thank you for sharing your experience on the matter with me.
I have tried resetting the network router's cached addresses by way of turning off all the network attached devices and restarting all the devices after a 5 mins wait. No luck. It is still the same. Unable to select the input source whether from the M12 front panel or BluOS app from iPhone or iPad.
Now totally cannot play from the BluOS and right now, in Malaysia we are having a one month total lockdown, starting from 1.6.2021 to 28.6.2021.
Did you manage to resolve the matter? Please share with me further what you have tried.
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
Cheers
Yew

Hi Yew Hong
Unfortunately there is no way to fix the source selection trough the app until bluesound put our an update to resolve the matter.
Don't you have a remote control to change sources until a fix is introduced?

Hi Steffan
Thank you for the feedback.
This morning, I tried to use the supplied remote control, but it does not seems to select anything.
Can you share with me, how you manage to use the remote control to select source? For me, after resetting the network router's cached addresses, the BluOS is totally gone.
Best Regards
Yew

I wish to share with this community what progress I have achieved to-date.
After updating the following firmwares to the M12 unit:
(1) M12 Software Upgrade - v2.62 (front USB port)
(2) DD BluOS MDC - BluOS firmware 3.14.2 (back USB port of the Node 2i),
the BluOS selection is available at the M12 front panel. However, the BluOS app input sources selection on the iPhone 12 Max or iPad pro is still missing.
If I have further progress on the issue, I will update this community accordingly.
Best Regards
Yew

The same goes for me, everything is sorted out now. So next time I report an issue Tony and Sam then please take it seriously - I'm not just writing because of a network error 😁

We are glad we got it sorted out fairly quickly Steffan, but please understand we do have to perform due diligence when troubleshooting.
