Bluesound N150 has no IR Remote option in settings

I recently purchased an RC1 remote control - primarily to use with my Powernode N150.  However, there is no IR remote setting in the BlueSound app for the device.  This leads me to believe that the RC1 remote is not compatible with old PowerNodes.  Is this the case?

  There is no IR on the first generation of devices, you need a Gen 2 or newer.

  Thanks.  Realized I should have simply looked at the available product info online before posting this questions, but thanks for responding.

  Perhaps I need to upgrade to the new 2i...
