If the source selection is gone this points to a communication issue of the controller app to the device(s). The controller app is dumb and needs the info from the players to show such selections.

I have no M32 or other NAD, with my Bluesound players the update went well and all works like before.

Did you close the BluOS app completely? Did you switch off WiFi on your controller device (smartphone or tablet)? Do you have more BluOS devices, if so do they show all selections?
If I understood correctly you restarted your router, switches and WiFi right?
    The M32 too?

That is correct Stefan. Now I am once again not the only one, my friend has a similar Setup with a NAD M32 just with the MDC 2i instead. Now I wrote to him today, and he was on 3.14.10 and the source selection was still there. He update the firmware to 3.14.20 and then the source selection was gone.

And yes I have rebooted everything I could, even reset the bluos module back to factory settings and still no luck.

Last time I had a problem with my bluos module was when they released the big 3.xx.xx update, after that the player was EXTREMELY slow at skipping songs and fast forward from Tidal - the solution was to update the password in the WiFi menu. This lastet until the whole unit was powered completely off. Bluesound said have you tried this and that... Yes of course I have! Then they said it was Tidals fault which was bullshit and after a few updates it was then fixed!

Bluesound tend to point fingers at everything else but them self and will never admit that they caused the problem! And I am sick of that!
Also they have no quality control whatsoever before they launch a new update, hell they even blacked out screens on the M10 and M33!

Now you can't even NOT update the player as it keeps popping up every time you open the app.

The „problem“ is in many cases there are really network issues causing many of these problems. So yes I hate these fast answers pointing to none BluOS parts of the system too, but network often is the key. Maybe these issues could/should be reduced or solved completely, but I am not shure if this could be for every WiFi or LAN setup.

Why there are so many reports for NAD systems, I am not shure. Till now I only have Bluesound players and no experience with BluOS on NAD.

About the blocking of updates, I am pretty shure there is a possibility. You can deactivate the automated info for updates. Should work for NAD too. I have to check the url for this can‘t remember it at the moment. But with that you need to get the info if there are no issues with the firmware, so you can do it manually later. After some time there will be a point where you will need to update.

What is going on here? It says in the post that my issue has been answered, well no it has not! This is a software fault on bluesounds end NOT a user fault!
So why is it listed as answered when no one from bluesound has replied to the problem?

Why do we have to go trough all this again Tony! If you took the time to actually read my messages you'll realize that the same thing happened to my friend right after he updated to 3.14.20 as well. This has nothing to do with MY amplifier,  it's your software that is causing the problem why do you KEEP pretending otherwise? It was the same bull crap as when you said tidal caused slow skip song and fast forward,  but after a couple of updates from bluesound it was fixed!

Why do you say that Stefans answer is a answer to the issue,  IT IS NOT! How many times do I have to write that it was after updating to 3.14.2! Bluesound is absolutely terrible,  like really! Not a single time have they ever admitted that their terrible software engineers have broken much more than they have fixed, and then they have Tony and Sam sitting at the desk writing the same stupid "answer" everytime, always network, and people's hardware.

I have updated my NAD M12 to the latest BluOS version and am also experiencing issues regarding the input selection. When i want to play music through the BluOS (or Roon) app then the input doesn't switch to the BluOS input like it did before the update. I spoke to a dealer and he was also experienv=cing the exact same issue. The music in the app starts playing but the unit is not switching to the correct input. When i manuall y switch to it then the music is playing as if nothing happened.

Nothing else in my setup has changed and i have never had any issues with BluOS regarding my network . The only thing that has changed is the BluOS software. I totally agree with Steffan that this time the issue is the software and not the hardware. The NAD has some software issues (lip-sync through hdmi, 12v trigger not working when hetwork standby is on) but this is a BluOS issue. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, because it is quite annoying.

I have the same issue Roel, when playing a song from tidal it used to switch to the bluos input which it doesn't do anymore after updating to 3.14.20.

Though I am Sure Sam and Tony will just tell us to factory reset everything and our routers as well! The word incompetence comes to my mind every time I read their comments! There is absolutely no quality check before they send software updates out, it is horrendous!

It is definitely a issue with the recent update and resetting everything else won't work at all. Since we can already different 4 different cases that have these issues i trust we don't have to jump through different hoops that will not provide a solution. It should be an eay fix since i haven't had this issue ever before so it should be something they changed in the latest firmware.

I am a Bluesound user since the absolute beginning and my experience is that Bluesound related issues are normally dealt with pretty fast with a firmware fix. NAD support on the other hand is a complete different story...

Roel - your issue is different than the one Steffan is describing. Steffan is describing missing source selection in the app, and your issue is auto switching to the BluOS source not working.

Steffan - in the testing we've done on the BluOS MDC, the sources still appear. But your setup may be different - phone model, app version, number/model of MDCs, etc - so we need more info.

If you are still experiencing an issue, both of you will need to send diagnostic logs (Help > Send Support Request; log will be automatically attached) and details regarding your setup so our team may investigate each case closely.

    Thanks,

I understand the main issue of Steffan is different, but as he mentions he is also experiencing the same issue. And as far as i know it is not possible to switch inputs with the M12 (i haven't really tried it to be honest). But the underlying issue might be the same for both models/mdc units.

I have already put in a support ticket in the app yesterday. Hopefully the response will be as swift as in this topic.

Sam I am using a M32 with a bluos 2 MDC module, my phone is a galaxy s9.
My friend has the same setup just with a MDC 2i and a iPhone X. So in that terms they are very different but still the same problem.
Can you please just role me back to 3.14.10 where everything was perfectly fine.
This once again has nothing to do with my setup hardware wise as we are many who got the same problem! Just role is back to 3.14.10 and never touch the software again!

And yes I have got the same problem where it will no longer automatically switch to bluos when playing a song from tidal. This was NOT a problem on the previous software.
