AirPlay 1 BluOS Compatibility

Hi there, 

I am using an old iPad Mini 1 as a controller, but having issues getting AirPlay to connect. It can see my Bluesound Powernode 2i but refuses to stream audio to it.  

Is BluOs only compatible with AirPlay 2 or should this setup be working?

  As long as your Idevice is on Ios 11.4 or later, according to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208728
