BT Smart Hub - Connection to Node 2i
AnsweredI have had my node 2i for about ten months and have had no problems until we changed broadband provider to BT and got supplied with a BT Smart Hub 2. I have tried turning off 'Smart Setup' (which puts it into mode 1) and changing 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channels, but it only works immediately after changing channel settings - then stops working. Bluetooth works fine. Wifi connection to the node 2i that doesn't work is via my windows 10 pro laptop, my iphone SE and an ipad. I stream music from Qobuz to a high end two channel system - so bluetooth is no use to me. Please help, this issue has taken all the fun out of listening to my hifi.

Turn off completely 5GHz and post which firmware the Smarthub is running.

Hi Seppi,
I will try changing router settings as suggested once my partner has finished work at 20:00.
Although not very happy about reducing my fibre broadband to 2.4GHz.
Smarthub data:
Connection type:Fibre Broadband (VDSL)
Firmware version:v0.26.03.01286-BT
Firmware updated:10-Apr-2021

Well if you’re not happy then ring BT and complain about the firmware they updated your Smarthub with. Tell them the following and ask for a firmware update, the majority of their call centre staff are aware.
The main issue is that devices in 2.4GHz cannot communicate with devices on 5Ghz and vice versa.
A temp fix would be to use an Ethernet lead on your Node wired back to your router but this is probably impractical for most.
