BT Smart Hub - Connection to Node 2i

I have had my node 2i for about ten months and have had no problems until we changed broadband provider to BT and got supplied with a BT Smart Hub 2. I have tried turning off 'Smart Setup' (which puts it into mode 1) and changing 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channels, but it only works immediately after changing channel settings - then stops working. Bluetooth works fine. Wifi connection to the node 2i that doesn't work is via my windows 10 pro laptop, my iphone SE and an ipad. I stream music from Qobuz to a high end two channel system - so bluetooth is no use to me. Please help, this issue has taken all the fun out of listening to my hifi.

Hi Seppi,
I will try changing router settings as suggested once my partner has finished work at 20:00.
Although not very happy about reducing my fibre broadband to 2.4GHz.
