Connecting Node 2i to new Internet address
AnsweredOur service provider, Telus in BC Canada, just started providing 5g and as a result they changed our Internet address to allow both 2.4 and 5g. Our old address does not function. My Node 2i now cannot be found and when I try to add a player I get a screen that refers me to 3 choices which I cannot prompt and access….dead end. I am using the 2.4g address. I have factory reset the node 2i, deleted the BluOS app and reinstalled it in an attempt to go to square 1 as if I had just purchased but to no avail. How do I get the node 2i on the new network.

Your 2i Player is dual-band and supports both 2.4 and 5 G - contact Telus to find out what is blocking traffic - also ensure your 2.4 settings are set to N only if need be.
I have Rogers Ignite at home and had to narrow the 2.4 band to 20Mhz from 40. Telus will be happy to assist here. -
Had Telus block 5g so now only 2.4 and with a bit of fiddling got up and running again. I had a WiFi booster wired to the node which I had to disconnect to get things back. Airplay 2 was functioning before…now it is not. My IPad control Centre will not pick up the Node 2i. Any suggestions. Also I tried to add the node to my Home app as an accessory with no recognition. Does the node have a code to manually add it to Home. The more important thing to resolve is the Airplay 2 function as I could stream my Apple playlist before thru the node hooked up to my stereo system. Thanks for your input.

Latest positive development. After 2 days of absence Node 2i just appeared on my IOS control panel so AirPlay 2 has returned from space. The only remaining unresolved function is adding Node 2i to the Home app. I have attempted the add accessory procedure in Home and the node 2i shows up as a little symbol/picture so it is being recognized but states “unable to add”. Is there a code I can try? Any other suggestions. In the past I have restarted various devices but am hesitant to do that now as it has taken me 4 or 5 days to get my system back to where it was.

Final problem solved on adding Node 2i to Apple Home kit. Tried again this am but chose Bob’s office as a location rather than living room and it worked. Even tho all my stuff is in the “living room” I must have initially set it up as “Bob’s office”. I kept answering the location prompt with “living room” and it didn’t like that.
