Powernode 2i IR learning doesn’t work with my remotes

When trying to use the IR learning option on my Powernode 2i I can’t get it to learn the IR code of both my spare remotes. I can get it to work with my Samsung and Philips tv remotes. But I use these for my TVs. I have two different remotes I don’t use but I can’t get these to work. I did find out that both remotes are 433MHz. Can this be the problem?

  You answered your own question already.  These are RF remote controls, not IR remote controls.

  But the specs of the remotes state they are IR remotes...

  If 433MHz refers to the operating frequency, it is not in the infrared range.
