    Hi Dieter

Please ensure your TV Supports CEC. We have seen a number of issues with SONY brand TVs and their non-standard CEC settings. If it's a SONY brand TV, please reach out to them - otherwise, check your HDMI cable settings. We also strongly encourage HDMI Premium Cerified cables with an orange certification sticker. Please see www.hdmi.org regarding Premium Certifed Cables.

...and no they are not expensive, Monoprice makes excellent certified cables readily available on Amazon for under $20 US.

I don’t own a Soundbar but have had HDMI go “out of sync” and was reset by unplugging the TV and connected device for 30 seconds. You may have already tried this but worth a shot if not.

Tony - Why is this marked as "Answered". You don't even know what the TV brand is and already you conclude it's the TV?

I came here to post this same problem because I have the same problem with auto-sense failing to work after some time on my Powernode 2i. Rebooting the Powernode makes it work for a while but then it stops working. To listen to the TV I need to open the app and press pause then press play and then it works.  The auto-sense worked for years with my current hardware config and now this is happening so it's likely the software.

LG C9 TV using HDMI-ARC with Bluejeans HDMI premium certified cable.

    Hello Toni,

my Panasonic TV does support CEC. There it is called Anynet+. I use the HDMI cable which was delivered with the Bluesound device and it works fine for long time. I also have tested it with another HDMI cable but with no success.

    Best regards, Dieter Edelmayer

Dieter, try to unplug your TV, then reboot your Soundbar (Help - Diagnostics - Reboot).
After your Soundbar is up and running, plug in your TV and turn on. Go to sound settings and make sure it's set to "receiver" and not "TV speaker".

Hello Bjørn, thanks for the tip. I have tested it but with no success. The TV don't find an Anynet+ device. But sometimes when I switch off the TV Bluesound switch to HDMI-ARC. Very strange.

    Best regards, Dieter

Ive now had this problem occur 3 times after firmware upgrades. I have a soundbar with two Flex 3i in a theatre group and the soundbar losses its HDMI input option from the list. The opticle and other inputs are listed.

My 2022 Hisense U8 TV detects the soundbar. I reset the TV sound settings.

This is a pattern to the point |I get fearful when I see a firmware upgrade. I automatically think "Here we go again". I have a call into tech support and will post the resolution steps here for help to others.
