    Hi Torben

Welcome to #LivingHiFi. The BluOS firmware on your Bluesound POWERNODE is a closed architecture and only works with other BluOS Players.

Here's how a synopsis of how the Play Queue works; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000204487

    Tony,

I too would love to have my Node 2i be a LMS / Squeezebox endpoint / BluOS Player, in fact just like a Roon endpoint.

    Hello Torben

I tried this several years ago, because the Squeezebox as a music server was super:), but I gave up.

Actually I found a solution. Squeezebox and Powernode comes with an optical connection.  Apply the adapter and no problems. Worked  instantly. /Torben

Yeah, the Powernode is an integrated amp as well.  So you can certainly use it as such.

But as far as assessing ripped music on a local drive is concerned, BluOS supports basic classification by tags such artists, genres, etc.

You did raise an interesting point about dynamic playlists.  I guess that has something to do with making creative use of tags.  Not sure how strong BluOS is with that.  Some of things you may be able to do with the Spotify app via Spotify Connect.

I plugged Squeezebox Touch into optical but it’s got a delay from my other SBs. Any ideas.

Or a SB client like the Roon client?

There is a 50ms delay in BluOS - this is by design and required for synchronized multiroom playback.
