ReplayGain - only for audio files on a network share?
AnsweredHi, can you please confirm if the replay-gain modes only work for files on a network share, not on attached USB hard drives or USB thumb sticks?
KB article mentions "replay-gain modes work with volume adjustment metadata tags from your audio files" and "all your audio files", but does not tell where these audio files need to be located for replay-gain to work.

Hey Kris
It will work on files with GAIN tags regardless of source - if it's not working, send us a Support Request so we can arrange to get a copy of the files you are hearing issues with and test them here.

Brilliant stuff, Tony. Thanks. I had assumed this was only effective on audio files in user's own libraries, but was not sure about the location. While reading your reply I was experiencing some unexpected volume adjustments when playing from Tidal. Somehow I had toggled the replay-gain setting to Smart on my NAD T777V3 and indeed, it was working regardless of source. :)
