In french/english... I have just received my x16 and tried it with tidal. My configuration is basic, musical fidelity amp, blue sound 2i and tidal. Recently i decided to add an external dac, tke x16. If i understood well.. It s one of the few affordable dac that can unfold the three mqa steps. So, according to some forum, i let the external dac in the bluesound off and fixed volume on. This seem to work with mqa files. What if i play non mqa files coming for ex from amazon hd ? Do i have to set the external dac on in the bluesound app which is not very "user friendly"? I also have a question concerning bluetooth but i think i d better open a' other post. Thank you

  If the file is not MQA - there is nothing to do. You do not have to toggle the switch - it simply lets the Bluesoudn NODE that if there is any MQA processing required, the external DAC is capable of performing it.

  So, Tony if i understand well theswitch external mqa dac must be always off ! Even if we have mqa files unfold with the x16 and volume 100% fixed.
  When do we have to put that switch on finally ?

  If your external DAC supports MQA, enable the switch. If it doesn't, don't.

  Then leave the switch as is. Please see this Help Centre Article for more details;

  Tony, thank you but I giveup. Some threads say exactly the contrary. What i check, When i listen to mqa files, if the mqa switch is turned on, the x16 displays 44,1 khz pcm. When i turned it off it displays ofs 382 for ex whitch is correct for the second and third unfold.
  Anyway, thank you for your help.
