NAD M33 skipping the first second of a song

Hi,

I have a NAD M33 and I recently noticed an issue when selecting to play a song in BluOS, most of the time it will skip a few notes of the song, maybe a second or so. If you choose the same song again, it will play it fine but if you choose a different one, it will cut off the beginning again. I have it updated to the latest version 3.12.13. The issue happens with all of my sources: Qobuz, Amazon, network drive, but only when using BluOS, it plays fine using Roon. I’ve tried both network cable and WiFi.

I also have a Node 2i and it doesn’t have this issue but I do remember having the same issue there a few months ago but only with Roon, and that was fixed in a firmware update.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if there’s a fix for it.

  Can you please select Help, Send Support Request in the App so our BluOS Support Crew can review this with the Quality Assurance team and review muting in the log file.

  So I submitted the support request and they want me to try a Factory Reset and then reinstall the firmware but will my M33 still show up in Roon if I do that? They haven’t been able to confirm that.

  Please continue to work with our support crew internally - I am being kept in the loop internally - in the meantime - I can confirm that we continue to work with ROON and eagerly await them to certify the NAD M33. For updates on NAD M33 certification with ROON, we encourage you to address those concerns with ROON.

  Well, doesn’t look like they can help me with this, they say I’d have to take it to a NAD service center but I still believe it’s a firmware issue.

  Below is the video recording of the issue, might be hard to tell some of the transitions there but I play 2 songs there, first I start one which is cut off, then after a few seconds I start the same song again and it’s fine. Then I repeat the same thing with another song.
  
  I’m hoping that somebody else is able to try it on their M33.
