Bad duration indication on BluOS Controller

Hello, on NAS library (synology), with .wav files only, the duration of songs is not correct (too short). The same song in FLAC format is correct.

The problem is the the same with all .wav files.

Same problem with Mac and iOS BluOS Controller

  Hi Francois

  This is an issue with how the WAV files were encoded. The encoding software created incorrect timestamps. You can try correcting them using a proper WAV tagger like KID3 but it is probably best to encode new copies from your original recordings. 

  That being said, if you are going to re-encode them, save yourself a lot of hassle and re-encode them as FLAC files.

  WAV files were never designed as music files while FLAC files were designed for lossless file storage.

  Thank you very much for your answer.

  I checked the "Duration" tag with Tag Editor (MacOS). All durations are correct.

  The .wav files were created with a Naim Uniti Serve. If you have another idea?

  Your NAIM Uniti server includes a utility to convert these files to FLAC. Contact NAIM if you are having problems with the Uitility.
