    Hi Caeser

Two options here - in the BluOS App you will see am icon indicating CD or MQA, choose the one that is appropriate for you; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000063928

Option 2 is to use TIDAL connect; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360056154514

You are right, the icons are indicating which quality is playing, but I am not able to switch quality. Nothing happens if i click on the icon. I could not find an option to choose quality for Tidal anywhere in the BluOs app.

    I use the NAD C 658.

    Why do you wanna?

BluOS always chooses the best possible, so if your account is allowed for highress, the file you wanna play is highress BluOS will play it in highress. If the file is not highress it wouldn't help to have a choice.

If you want to select the quality because of network bandwidth issues, I believe there is no way to solve this that way.

I want to select the quality, because I want to play tracks in CD quality although these tracks are available in MQA. But this is not possible, because BluOS and Tidal do concider MQA as higher quality. And as you already mentioned, BluOS then will go with the highest possible, in my case MQA. But I want to be able to select CD quality. I dont want to be forced to use MQA.

In my opinion this is not possible at the moment, maybe feature request to Bluesound.

Tryed the TIDAL Connect with setting the TIDAL app to HiFi, first it seemd working, but BluOS seems to use always MQA doesn't matter if directly within BluOS or TIDEL Connect.

But why do you wanna use HiFi = 16bit 44,1/48 instead of MQA 24bit 96 ?

Because even in TIDAL app you are not able to tell TIDAL to use highress without MQA. If you wanna get rid of MQA and use highress I am afraid you need to switch the streamingservice.

    Hi same question.

@Tony W, where in the 178 possible places would I see said "icon"?

Secondly, it used to be that when you viewed albums under an artist you would see 2 different versions - CD and MQA (or 4 if there were extended versions, or 6 if there were "super-extended" version. You get the point). Now, however, there are two versions of all the albums and both are MQA. I want options. Options are good.
