Node 2i sound volume control and RCA output quality?
AnsweredHello,
Does using the sound volume control on the node 2i degrade the RCA output quality?
For a low sound use, I found that I had to decrease the volume on the Bluesound to be able to increase the volume on my amp to get better performance from my speakers at low sound levels (Maybe due to the poor performance of my amp at low level...)
I'm afraid to increase the low noise floor or decrease the conversion quality of the DAC (I don't know how your volume control is managed!)

Hello there,
It shouldn't affect the quality; most often I see users use Fixed Output to leave all volume control to one device, but if you find using both variable volume on your NODE and your external device ultimately have a better output, you should be good to go.

I'm thinking about using the Node2i with an external DAC and it will be much more convenient to keep using the Node2i as the overall volume control. How good is the digital volume control on the Node2i? Is the output 24 bits? Any other suggestions to minimize jitter?
