Upgrading Bluesound Powernode 2i
AnsweredHi all. I’m an early adopter of the streaming digital amp, having owned a NAD D-7050 for 6 years. It has served me well despite losing the built in Spotify Connect which was a great feature at the time. I have used a work around to continue to enjoy Spotify with the amp.
I was intrigued to see that Bluesound is a member of the Lenbrook group so I think this is a good place for my question.
Will I see a good jump in sonic performance moving from the NAD D-7050 to the Powernode 2i? I intend to use it with B&W 606 S2 speakers.
Thanks.

That's really a question for your ears, not ours.
Here are the specs for the POWERNODE; https://www.bluesound.com/products/powernode
If however, you are not in a position to visit a local Bluesound Dealer for a listening demo from www.bluesound.com/stores, many of our online retailers, including Amazon, Crutchfield, and Bluesound.com offer 30-day return policies if you are not satisfied.

Ok. I understand about auditioning, but can you at least share with me if the Powernode 2i is using NAD innards for example the NAD Hybrid Digital amp and DAC? If so, is the tech newer than what’s in the D-7050? I read somewhere that the Powernode is using existing NAD tech and I am just curious what this is? Thanks.
