Connecting Bluesound Node (N130) to Powered Klipsch Sevens and using Roon
AnsweredI have optical out from Node (N130) to optical in to new Klipsch Sevens powered Speakers in order to use the DAC in the powered speakers (I believe they have the better DAC/MCQ etc). I am trying to use Roon to control it all. Roon "sees" the Node, and the speakers but when I choose the Node to control it all, Im hearing no sound. I'm new to all this HiFi tech so I think I am missing something here. I wasn't even sure I "needed" the Node but the control for the speakers is weak (to put it lightly) and I was thinking I could use some of the other outs for other uses (like the HDMI eARC to the TV maybe? Not sure if that is even an option. If it isn't, then maybe Roon is all I really need, but then how would I keep the music at the same Bit/KHz without it being down sampled? (or is that what ROON does?) Anyone out there feel sorry for a newbie and can help me here? Oh, just to round things out, my music library is sitting on my MacBook Pro and the Node is plugged into ethernet. My internet is fiber optic with 1 Gig upload/download speeds.

Hi Jennifer
Try downloading and using The BluOS app to temporarily remove ROON from the mix to ensure you are setup properly. If you are able to play Radio Paradise without issue, you will have to contact ROON. If you are still not getting audio, select HELP, SEND SUPPORT REQUEST in the BluOS App so our Support Crew can help troubleshoot further.
