How to use Android Smartphone as a Bluos Player
AnsweredI have recently installed a Bluesound Node N130, hard-wired to my home Ethernet (and TV HDMI) for input and Onkyo Amp as output. All works brilliantly and I finally have access to all my archived CDs on my Synology NAS as well as Amazon Music. However, the one thing I would like to be able to do is to listen on headphones (Beyerdynamic T70) in another part of the house. I have been using a Chord Mojo DAC via smartphone which works very well with local files on the smartphone but I was hoping to use the smartphone (Samsung S20FE) as a Bluos player and so be able to route the Node output and get access to the files on the NAS and the Bluos playlists. It would also allow me to have one controller (Bluos) rather than having to use the Amazon Music and Radio Paradise apps on the smartphone. Since the smartphone is on the home wi-fi, does an Android app exist to make it a Bluos player? If not, why not since it seems mostly a matter of routing?

I'm aware of that. I want the smartphone to act as a Bluesound player as well as running the bluos app. A Bluesound speaker is wifi connected and relays audio from the Bluesound Node. I would like the smartphone to do the same.

Did you ever solve this? I have exactly the same question, which obviously has not been answered here.

No, there is an API, but it only provides controller functionality not player. As usual, the support desk seems disconnected from the developers so you can't get a real answer, just a block. If you get anywhere, please let me know.
