BluOS User Manual
AnsweredWhere is the BluOS User Manual? I’ve been asking for this for years. Enough is enough, give the customers what we want, a step by step user manual for every feature and function within BluOS per release version. There have been many times I want to know how to do something in BluOS and there is no manual.
Today I want to know how to adjust lipsync for a hone theatre group made up of the Soundbar+ and two FLex speakers. The picture onscreen is ahead of the audio and changing the lipsync on the sound bar has zero impact on the group.
Previously I was trying to figure out how to change song name titles of a CD from my friends band, and sone discs from Australian 80’s bands are not found from CD database.
On iOS version of the app, select help and there is no help manual, there is a link to online support, type in lipsync and 3 articles conf up, one is announcement of changes on a firmware release from 2.5 years of this post, another is instructions from two years ago with menu options are no longer relevant at time of this post, and the last had nothing to do with lipsync at all.
I used to work at Citrix then ran HPs global Citrix practice and have integrated over 30,000 apps worldwide and I know a few things about app development integration, poor development, poor documentation, and lack of standards. I’m not saying these all apply, I’m saying I’ve seen it all. I’ve rejected app releases from SAP, Oracle, and many big time players, medium sized companies and in house, and I always reject apps that do not provide user documentation at the time of release. I once held up s £300m major oil company deployment because one stubborn developer would not write a user manual. So we went with a competitor. The CEO of said Silicon Valley IT company called my clients CEO and said why would a user manual cost the sale? The phone went onto speaker phone and I responded along the lines: “if you don’t care enough about offering concise how to information to the user, then you don’t care enough if the user is have a good or bad experience. Because when you write user manuals, all the interface problems get flushed out. We don’t expect perfect, we expect excellence”.
Lenbrook, many of your products lack excellence from the user experience. I purchased a T777v3 and the manual didn’t even have instructions on how to change inputs from the remote (press buttons #1-7). Clearly the person writing the manual didn’t perform every step and document every step, the. Do it again and again to”validate” the manual was correct. How we do anything is how we go everything.
Before release the upcoming version 4 of BluOS document every step and function to a 100% concise manual as if it was to be submitted to the military on how to operate a fighter jet. And make it available offline for people who use your products off grid.
If other users want a fully downloaded step by step BluOS user manual, that is updated every version release, please add your ask below responding to this thread

Thank you. I trust you also have a user groups and consultants such as Deloitte or KPMG providing feedback on what users want and expectations.
I hope lots of other people respond here.
And thank you for everyone’s efforts this far.
FDA “Validated Systems” for Pharmaceutical Drug trials:
- if application function is not in the manual, the software can’t be released.
- if the manual is not 100% validated correct the software cannot be released.
- if the user group does not sign off (literally) the software cannot be released.
Please adopt these standards in-house for all applications and hardware products?
