Please send us a support ticket using the BluOS app. This way a member of our support team will be able to read the diagnostic file attached to your ticket.

In the BluOS app, BluOS >> Help >> Send Support Request.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

I'll do the troubleshooting but I'm still concerned as to why it's doing this. Nothing else on my network has ever had a problem, aside from both my Node 2i's.

Edit: power cycled my modem and the reindex is (slowly) moving now. Hoping for more than a day or two of it working.

    So this is still happening.

Any time I update music on my computer and then try to re-index with the BluOS app, it sits at "1 song" for about 30 seconds, does nothing, then my library disappears. After I press re-index a few times it finally works, but it completely reloads my library and it takes about 6-8 hours to re-index. Why does this keep happening???

I'm glad I found this old thread, and the solution seems to work, but I wanted to add my comments. As with the OP, this happens to me OVER AND OVER AND OVER. No other device on my network ever has any issues, but the Node 2i does this all the time. It actually gets to the point where I end up not listening to music at all rather than deal with the inevitable tech/config issues that have to be addressed on an almost weekly basis. This has been the case FOR YEARS. I don't understand why this issue cannot be solved. Once I have everything configured and working, if I don't change any aspect of the configuration, it should just continue to work.

Scott, I hope you see this. I know this probably isn't the best solution but I ended up bypassing my ISP supplied modem/router and getting a mesh wifi system. Since switching, I've had no problems with either of my Node 2i's. I'm not sure why that would make a difference but it definitely has. Might be an option for you.

Thanks - I have mesh wifi so that wasn't it for me. For now, I've fixed things by running a DNS flush via my antivirus software. Based on my experience, the next time the solution will be something else. Here's hoping this can work for at least a week or two before I'm back to troubleshooting again.

My only other thought is that I assigned both my Nodes static IP's. If things go wrong again and you haven't done that yet, it's worth a shot.

PRO TIP: Static IPs often can bite you in the end - use DHCP Reservations on your routers. They accomplish the same task as your router always assigning the same address but if you have to make changes to your router in a couple of years from now, don't bork your connection resulting in an ugly Factory Reset.

I had my terminology wrong, thanks for the clarification. It would be amazing if these things just worked and people didn't have to endlessly troubleshoot them.

As much as we wish that too... To err is human, to really foul things up requires a computer.

(That and I'd be out of a job if they did >kidding<)

That being said - glad to hear you are up and running again.
