This is, unfortunately, a low-level firmware issue in the PULSE FLEX and the Bluetooth module. We have been able to overcome it in most models but the PULSE FLEX BT implementation is unable to pick up the room alias.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Hi Patrik,

for the Flex this can be done only in your list of paired bluetooth devices.

    Hi KriHad,

thank you for your answer. That is bad, because it is only visible for my phone then...
The Pulse Mini supports this featurs.
I will write a Request Ticket.

Not quite. It is visible for every user and each can select their own names, so not too bad. :)

I own now two Pulse Flex 2i too.

I normally do not use Bluetooth for these speakers, but I think the names shall be defined directly in BlueOS to have it directly done for all persons who are starting a Bluetooth search near the speakers.

By all means, speakers are called Flex, so it is no rocket sience pairing with the bluetooth name Flex. I would much rather have a shuffle function in BluOS. Maybe in 4.0 :)

    @KriHad
and that is the problem... You don`t know which of the 3 flex you are connecting... you have to try and play sound to check.
As i already said the Mini has the function to change the BT Name... why the flex not?

As said, changing the bluetooth name works, so never a problem with any of my Flex speakers. But I prefer to use them via wifi rather than bluetooth.

But that helps not with my problem... because a guest or a second phone cannot see the names I put on my phone...
On my phone I use WiFi... But my guests wont install BlueOS app to show one single track or something like that...

I wouldn't expect it to ever happen as I remember it being a hardware limitation in the Flex.

Thank you for your answer. That means it can not be solved fot the Flex with the actual hardware, or will there be an upcoming fix?

Hmm, too bad what happened there. Hopefully it will get better.

I think everything what is possible and avaiable shall be handled by the user.
