subwoofer out very low with powered speakers and variable output level
AnsweredHave a Node N130 connected to a pair of pair of Focal Shape 50 powered speakers via L&R RCA out and a Focal Sub one connected to Sub out (RCA out to XLR in).
As these are powered speakers, if I have output level fixed turned off, the sub output is very low.
On the other hand if I turn on output level fixed, the speaker volume goes very high (sub is audible).
Is there any way the sub output remains fixed even when the speaker output levels are variable?
Thanks!

You will have to consult your active speakers and sub-woofer documentation to adjust the volume of the speakers and set the gain level of the sub-woofer to resolve this.

Finally got it working.
For anyone who wants to drive a sub with XLR input (LFE/Mono) patch the sub out from Bluesound Node via a level converter to the XLR input of the sub.
Ensure you have output level fixed turned off and play around with the gains.
The level converter I used is the ART cleanbox pro (https://artproaudio.com/product/cleanbox-pro-dual-channel-level-converter/). I used only one channel for the sub.
