Mapping IR commands not working on TV (optical) input

NAD M10v2 user, software up to date.

I've mapped some IR commands from my LG C1 Oled TV (e.g Volume Up, Down, etc) and it is working ok as long as the TV is off. When the TV is on and NAD switches to the Optical input (either automatically or manually) the mapped commands stop working.

The reason I believe this is has nothing to do with the TV is that the NAD can not learn new commands as the TV input is selected and audio is coming in (It seems it does not receive anything from any remote). If the TV is off and TV input is selected, it works ok.
