That is not our recommendation. Bluesound Players are intended to be products that are always ready for you. If the player is left idle for 15 minutes without playback, it automatically switches to a low-power standby to conserve energy – but the player remains responsive to BluOS Controller App commands and is available on the network.

However, if you are going on a vacation and the player will not be used for an extended period - you can enable the Vacation mode (available on generation 2 or later models only) by holding the Play/Pause button for 10 seconds. This disables all network activity of the Player and is not discoverable on the network.

Just a reminder BluOS Players do feature a Vacation Mode but are not designed to be turned on and off repeatedly - our recommendation is to leave these smart devices always on and always ready. They are designed to enter a power save mode after 15 minutes of idle consuming less than 3W as required by EU law. Repeatedly putting them in Vacation Mode can take up to 5 minutes to fully boot and connect to your network. Repeatedly powering the devices on and off will age your PSU as well.

Settings - Player - Amplifier Standby -> On. The player will enter stand by after approx. 15 minutes. No need to press any buttons.

If the music is playing, after 15 minutes will still continue to play.... So the question is while the music plays which actions or buttons are equivalent to the circular button.

No, my question is not answered...let me rephrase my question with an example:

Scenario 1:  I listen to a radio station from TuneIn and I have in my hand my mobile phone with BluOs Controller App. There is no pause for the Radio station. If I want to leave the house, the music must be stopped. So the question is, If  I do not want to press the circular button on the Powernode chassis, what is the equivalent action in the app? By just muting the volume will it become idle after 15 minutes?

Scenario 2: The same as above but instead of Tunein, I listen a Spotify playlist....The difference there is that there is a pause button in the app. Is pressing the pause button in the app the same as the circullar button?

On the Now Playing Screen, Press Pause.

Seems it works like stop/launch for internet radios due to understandable reason (we are not controlling data flow fm radio station, but can make it louder or quiet, turn on/off) and work as pause/play for local library and streaming services like Spotify/Tidal (just checked on Tidal)
