Signal chain setup

Hi, just wondering about the signal chain in a two-channel audio system consisting of the blue sound node, integrated amplifier and denafrips ares ii as external dac. I have rca cables and a coax to tie the node to the denafrips.

Relatedly, does my iPhone still control the playback volume streaming music?

  Hi Keith,

  Depending on what’s further down the chain you can either set the NODE to have a fixed or variable output. If you are using additional sources with the integrated amplifier then it’s probably best to use fixed output otherwise you will have two volume controls in use.

  If the amplifier only has the NODE / DAC connected then using variable (on the NODE) would be simpler and the you can control the volume using the BluOS app.
