If this was a widespread issue then this and other HiFi forums would be awash with complaints and  not seen any posts regarding this in relation to the last or firmware updates in the past year.

A slow response from the App is almost always caused by a local networking issue. The BluOS app is only a remote control and sends the commands to the Bluesound hardware which then executes the command. So the commands have to go via your Router and then on to your Bluesound hardware.

It’s possible your Router is blocking multicast traffic and one area I would check. Bluesound hardware communicates differently to most other networked devices in that they have to “talk” to each other, replicate library / services settings and stay synchronised so cannot be compared to other devices.

Logging a support ticket is probably your best solution. From the BluOS App select Help… Send Support request. This way the logs will be send to Bluesound to investigate.

    Maybe, maybe you are right.

Then again, it goes along with what is happening on this other thread:

I can open a ticket, be asked to reboot all and forget about it... But after 3-4 times, it's time to involve people, don't you think?

    Hi Rob

The link you site is an issue with the NODE itself that results in it disappearing from the App altogether which we hope to release a BluOS update in the very near future. The issue you describe is lag in the App, which is completely different. Given your description, it appears to be local to you and your laptop. As Seppi suggested, contacting support@bluesound.com will allow The Support Crew to review and help troubleshoot what may be happening on your network or on your laptop.

Well, you are almost right. Thing is, I don't know if the problem is the app, the device, or both.
All I know is what I see from the app. But the symptoms are similar. Restarting the node makes the app more responsive for some time.

Still, I did open a support request too, and if there is something on MY end I can fix, I will update here in case I'm not alone...

I’m having exactly the same problem for months now.
It doesn’t matter if I use iPad or iPhone 10-15 seconds delay. With Tidal.
Apple Music Spotify no delays through the node

Hi Eddie, if streaming services are fine and it’s just local music then describe where / how the music is located.
