50% Bluenode 2i Failure rate
I have purchased 4 Bluenode 2i players within the last 3 years. Two were purchased 3 years ago followed by 2 more about 2 years ago.
To date 2 of the units have failed which is a 50% failure rate. Is this common?
Can they be repaired or are they just garbage now? Given the high failure rate I am very reluctant to buy replacements.
They fail when forced updates result in a bricked unit. They have a constant red light on the top panel and will not update or factory reset no mater what I try. The manual usb update doesn't work either.

To date support has just told me "sucks to be you, out of warranty".

Also when I complained that I don't want the forced updates as they were bricking my units they said they didn't care and I had to take the updates whether I wanted them or not.
Buyer beware.

This is a follow-up to your previous request #269134 "April 26th 2022 Update Caus..."
Re: [BluOS Support] Re: April 26th 2022 Update Cause Big Problems: April 26th Update complaint After saying yes to the update the update proceeded to mess up my whole sy...: I see another update is issued today that you only allow a 24 hr delay,
no opt out option.Your updates have red bricked one of my players and after contacting
support and going through all the manual methods, factory reset etc..
the unit failed to work after the update. I was told the unit was not
under warranty so I was out of luck - too bad for me.After last update a few weeks ago a similar red brick condition occurred
on another player. I was able to revive it manually.Unless you are going to take responsibility for red bricking units you
have to give me a way of OPTING OUT OF UPGRADES!Will Bluesound take responsibility fro units that fail after upgrade
attempts regardless of warranty status? If not you need to provide me
with a way of opting out of updates. Please don't respond with answers to questions I didn't ask.
