Why I believe that blusound Is failing silver surfers who love MUSIC
Gentlemen,
1. Why do some of my physical CD uploads to my blusound sometimes come back with Chinese characters rather than standard English ? Jethro Tull & the Rolling Stones new Releases have this quirk, how do I remedy this situation ? Please work on the assumption
That I'm not comfortable with technobabble which seems to permeate most discourse on
These forums. Please refer to "Media Monkey" as a platform that facilitates alterations and
Edits. Not to mention Incorrect sleeve artwork on some CD titles that also have no relation To the artist concerned. Think of all the prospective customers you could reach If you had An easier system of song editing, replacing Incorrect cover art, removing duplicates.
Think of the Apple I-Pod as an Iconic piece of kit that was so easy to use regardless of It's Bit rate limitations.
I'm presuming I shall get the standard response as a reply....But I'm an optimist at heart.

Hello Roy;
I am a Bluesound customer as you are.
As Seppi points out, all of the issues you describe are related to the metadata for the CD's you've added to your Bluesound system. Depending on the method used to 'upload' them, Bluesound Vault or copying the CD with some other software such as iTunes or dbpoweramp, the copying software has applied the metadata which results in the errors you are seeing. There are remedial steps that can be taken to correct the errors – again as Seppi suggests, a service called Bliss or other software that edits and corrects the metatags that are associated with the files. Which one you use depends on whether you are using Mac or Windows. If you are comfortable using Google you can search for a metadata editor suitable for your platform, many have free trial periods so you can evaluate which one might be appropriate for you.
