After investigating the reports we received, we have found that the issue is caused by a bug that we are currently investigating and fixing with our quality assurance team. This bug is related to the BluOS player's firmware version 3.20.45, which can cause Roon to not detect the device when it is FACTORY RESET.

Fortunately, we have identified a fix for this problem. We recommend rolling back to firmware version 3.20.25 and then upgrading back to 3.20.45. This should resolve the issue and allow Roon to detect your device as a Roon-ready endpoint.

We recommend contacting our support team, who can guide you through the process and provide additional help if needed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

Thank you. I meant Roon ready of course, not Roon tested (airplay). I already opened a support ticket. Is this enough to get help with rolling back FW?

    Thanks

Thanks. If a newer FW fix is expected to be released within a week or so, then I'm OK waiting it out (I can use Roon via Airplay and, to be honest, I'm unable to tell any difference sound quality-wise anyways...)

I have the same issue.  Shall I open a support ticket also?

Just updating that after rolling back to FW 3.20.25, everything is back to normal. No more random song skips with Roon or random network disconnections. Factory reset no longer losses Roon ready cert. It is possible to roll back by using support (they do it remotely after providing them with the session number), but you can also roll back manually via USB and a similar process to a factory reset. Here are the instructions and link to the FW file:

Format a usb pen drive in FAT32. Unzip the image file to it. Unplug power and network cables from the node and put usb stick in next to ethernet.
Put power in and press and hold play (red circle) until it goes green then red again, at which point you let go.
After a few seconds, the light will pulse green and red whilst the firmware is updated. Takes a few minutes.

You can download any FW version by editing the above URL. This FW is for Node N130 model only, not the older ones.

Better to stay away from the current FW 3.20.45. Just reject any update offer until a newer FW becomes available.
