Node 2021 coax output only 44,1 kHz
Hello guys, Having a node 2021 with Tidal hifi plus service and bought a Rotel RA-1592 MKII amp which is connected via coax digital cable. The amp shows the resolution of connexcted signal as 44,1kHz . Rotel dealer tried it with other streamer device and reported 88 kHz were shown on the screen of the amp. How to set up Node to get high res signal via coax? I have tried fixed output level and enabled external dac. Still could not succeed. Thanks for the advices in advance.

Only enable external DAC if the external DAC supports MQA, most of Tidal is MQA which your amp / DAC does not support.
Suggest you trial Qobuz which has higher bitrates or Amazon Music, both offer free trials.

Thank you for your feedback Seppi. Rotel dealer (and the product spec) says the amp can accept up to 24 bit 192 kHz. That level shall be reached somehow, imo. Maybe I am mistaken?

Yes, the NODE also outputs upto 24/192 but your Rotel does not work with MQA
You need to test with Qobuz or Amazon Music or even download some tracks and put them onto a USB memory stick.

I hear to try other platforms just wish to understand the situation before I switch the service provider for the whole family with all the presets and saved playlists, etc. What is the Node capable for? You wrote it can output 24/192. How could I get it on the coax output? If not MQA output then what else ti can do? Only 44,1? Seems wierd. If Silent Angel can push out 88kHz data to Rotel why the Node cannot?
