Thank you for your feature request! We've passed it along to our development team for consideration, and they've confirmed that they are aware of the suggestion. While we appreciate your idea and understand the value it could bring to our product, we want to be transparent and let you know that it's not currently on our near-term development roadmap. However, we will continue to monitor demand for this feature and will revisit it in the future if it becomes a higher priority. Thank you again for your suggestion, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or feedback.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

Thumbs up, I totally agree with you. This should be doable with a few lines of code. preferably adjustable in several stages.

To Mark T.: sad that this is not in near-term roadmap but many thanks for your transparent answer. Appreciate it and assume same goes for enhancement tone control / EQ / Room correction function

I returned my bluesound node 2 after a few days because it lacks this feature. Although the node 2 is superior in many regards, I witched back to the (now discontinued) Yamaha WXC-50 because of its dynamic loudness feature. It makes listening at low volume so much more rewarding, no idea how the could decide not to include a similar feature in the node.

Here's Yamaha's description of the feature, pls include it in the bluesound node and I will head back to the store to pick one up for good:

"Adjusts the volumes for the low-frequency, middle-frequency, and
high-frequency ranges of the audio. When this is “Auto”, they stay
synchronized with the main volume and perform hearing correction
for the auditory response of the human ear."

This would be such a nice feature to have. I now often listen to suboptimalized sound, either I forget to switch tone correction on when using background music or I forget to switch it off.

Is there any update on the dynamic loudness option? It’s still so much needed and should be an high priority matter on the development roadmap. Thank you.

    Hi,
No it has still not been updated. Product Manager said they now are discussing what is feasible and if they would do something on that front or not. When discussion will be concluded we don’t know, when something will be implemented if anything we don’t know even more

I have a node N130 and a Powernode Edge. Two great devices! I really appreciate if the loudness management is introduced.!This would be useful when listening the audio from the television that really needs a loudness switch or night mode. Thank you!

    Hi Massimo,

We are many supporting this and thank you for making the point. Bluesound unfortunately has shown little to no interest in developing this so far which is sad given how important it is for in real-life sound quality but maybe that position will evolve in the next months or years (fingers crossed)
