Can the remote RC1 be updated?

I earlier put in a feature request to add 2 more presets as an option for the 2 unassigned buttons. I am left wondering, is the RC1 even capable of receiving updates? Just curious.

   The RC1 is just a sends IR commands and these are converted into an action by the Bluesound player it’s not able to be updated, think of it as a normal TV remote.

  I guess my feature request would be for future models then. Pity.
