Bluesound NODE and Android phone

Hello;
when using the "BluOS Controller" application for Android, does Bluesound Node AUTONOMOUSLY download data from streaming services such as Tidal or Qobuz without the phone brokerage (while playing the entire playlist the phone may be OFF) or is data firstly downloaded from the streaming service to the phone and then sent from the phone to Bluesound Node via the local network?

In other words - is the android phone just a something like a Bluesound Node REMOTE CONTROLL or the phone is an integral participant of the playlist playback all process?

  As long as you are using the BluOS app and the integrated music services then the App is just a remote control and plays no part in the actual streaming of music other than telling the player what to play. The Bluesound player connects direct to the music service on the Internet or local music share on your network.
