Does Radio Paradise use different resolutions on RP Rock Mix and RP Main Mix?
AnsweredI have Radio Paradise on my NODE(N130) and I notice that RP Rock Mix is a little 'thin' sounding compared to the RP Main MIx. Are they using a different resolution on each one?
I tried the MQA equivelents, but I could not tell(hear) and real difference in sound quality with my mid-fi set-up.Thanks,Keith

RP Rock Mix on Bluesound FLAC 2 channel, 16 bit 44.1 - so CD quality
MQA version is the same bit / sample rate but MQA.
I was listening to some classic rock this morning (Bluesound and Headphones) and made a mental note about how some of the stuff I love always sounds thinner / quieter than modern material, it’s probably due to the loudness wars / dynamic range compression of newer stuff.
Saying that RP do offer lower bitrate streams and it’s possible your internet / internal networking speeds were suffering then it dropped to a lower one, not sure if Bluesound does this with RP?

What is so 'special' about MQA and will I be able to actually hear a difference(for the good,I hope)? Thanks,Keith
