Cannot find network share
AnsweredI have a Bluesound Node 2i (BlueOS version 3.20.25). I also have a Sonos system (latest model Sonos One SL) I have a NAS (ie a 1TB HDD formatted in Fat32 plugged into my newish Sagemcom Gateway F@St 5366 LTE modem- router) IP address smb://192.168.0.1/MUSICLIB I can get it to work with my Sonos system no issues but when I put the following path into the BlueSound app \\192.168.0.1\MUSICLIB (ie the format specified by Bluesound) I get ‘No shares found’ It’s extremely frustrating. I've tried with the iPhone app, iPad app and Mac app (all latest versions). I’ve tried restarting the node and the modem, plugging, unplugging drive. Even reformatted and renamed the drive! Any suggestions for what could be going wrong and why the Sonos has no trouble with it but Bluesound can’t find it? I am guessing old samba compatibility is not the issue given it works with current model Sonos but I could be wrong? Thanks in advance!

Hi Seppi, thanks very much for your reply. I’m confident it’s not a credentials issue either as there’s no user name and password required to authenticate on the Sonos.

Thanks Seppi - I just had a look and don’t think it’s even possible. The Sagemcom only has basic NAS functionality. The only thing that keeps me hoping I can get it to work is that it works with the Sonos.

Thanks Seppi and Alain. Seppi I saw that manual too but unfortunately that’s a different router to mine and the user interface is completely different. Alain, it’s easy enough to activate the file sharing (happens automatically when you plug in a HDD) and the Sonos is able to see my music library at \\192.168.0.1\MUSICLIB

Unfortunately not. I have tried to track down a user manual / spec sheet and have even called my ISP who issued the modem to no avail. Is it possible that a current model Sonos ONE SL with current app still supports SMB 1? I read somewhere that there is a legacy app to support older models but all new Sonos is 2.1 or higher. I could be wrong though. I appreciate all your suggestions. I will see if Bluesound tech support is able to help
