Hi. My old Ipod classic died. Thinking of buying a new 306 walkman portable player. Question. Can I load music from my Vault 2 , flac files, onto the player.? Hope someone can assist. Cheers

  Yes, it is possible to load FLAC music files from your VAULT 2 onto a Sony Walkman portable player, including the NW-ZX306. It really all depends on how you can import audio files to your Sony Walkman.

  Thanks for that Mark. How about direct from the vault or the back up hard drive?

  There is no way of doing this directly with the Vault and the backup drive is actually in a format that only Unix computers can read natively. 
  Marks suggestion of connecting to the Vault's share over your network to a computer is the way to do it.
