Right settings for my audio setup with Node n130?
AnsweredHello, I prefer ask from ppl who know audio stuff better, so I have Genelec G5 pair and SVS PB3000 subwoofer connected to Bluesound Node n130. Node to TV with Hdmi eArc. I am so confused how settings should be. I have set subwoofer in SVS app->Low Pass Filter OFF (LFE mode active), and in BluOS application Subwoofer ON->Crossover 60hz. Is this correct way? I have no idea if LFE should even be used in 2.1 set, or should I set low pass freq. myself in SVS app.

When using a subwoofer with a pair of Genelec G5 speakers, it is important to properly configure the crossover and low pass filter settings to ensure optimal performance and avoid any potential issues. Here is a suggested setup for your system:
-
Set the SVS PB3000 subwoofer to "LFE mode active" in the SVS app. This means that the subwoofer will receive the dedicated LFE (low frequency effects) channel in multi-channel audio content.
-
In the BluOS app, turn on the subwoofer output and set the crossover frequency to 60Hz. This means that the G5 speakers will handle frequencies above 60Hz, and the subwoofer will handle frequencies below 60Hz.
-
In the SVS app, set the low pass filter to "off" when using the subwoofer with the LFE channel. This ensures that the subwoofer only plays the frequencies it is supposed to receive from the LFE channel.
By following these settings, you should be able to achieve a proper integration between your Genelec G5 speakers and SVS PB3000 subwoofer. However, it's important to note that these settings may need to be adjusted based on your room acoustics, personal preference, and the specific content you're listening to. You can also experiment with different crossover frequencies and low pass filter settings to find what sounds best to you.

Thank you. So that's exactly what I thought. That LFE was just question mark for me. When LFE ON, low pass freq. is greyed out and vice versa.
