Are you using a Homeplug / power line adapter? If so whilst these devices can sometimes help out they do have their foibles. A set I purchased for example from TP link did something odd with the MAC address (network address) of the device I plugged in and could not be discoverable on the rest of the network. Basically it gave the device the same address as the adapter. Also mine had an option to turn on multicast which you would need.

Best to contact the manufacturer of the adapter and see if they have any firmware updates and can support you better.

Edit, do move your Bluesound device close to the router and check to make sure it works via Ethernet directly. It’s possible that the router is isolating Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

Hi I can't move the BN nearer to my router. It's strange and slightly frustrating that every single other device such as lap top PC ,xbox and play station all work with no problem. It must be a BN issue? Thanks

Move it.. to test, not permanently. The adapters need to support multicast which your other hardware does not require.

    Hi
Before I connected to the router, I plugged into one of my TP mesh hubs and this worked with the cable plugged in. But as previously mentioned it doesn't work with a mains o mains internet connection.
    I'll purchase another mesh .
    Thanks

Hi I take that all back I'm afraid when plugged directly into the router with the ethrrnet cable provided it can't find the powernode. Any suggestions? Thanks

When plugged in directly try connecting using another Ethernet connected device such as a laptop / desktop if you have such a thing handy, you will have to download the BluOS app.

Ok… this is encouraging, basically as I posted in my first reply is that your Router is isolating Wi-Fi and Wired (Ethernet) connections. If you use the dusty PC wired you might want to try the Homeplugs again and see if you can control the POWERNODE.

If you know your way around the Routers interface you might actually want to see if there is a setting that mentions wireless / client / AP isolation. I suspect you will have to contact Bluesound support so they can take a look at your network.

Hi thanks, my dusty PC is connected via the mains adapter and the powernode is plugged directly into the router. I can see the power node via WiFi on my phone but not when it's plugged into the router?

    As I said..it’s your router / network.
