    Quite a few domestic routers have a USB port and allow a drive / memory stick to be shared. Have a look at your router / it’s manual to see if you have such an option.

    I did it but  I can't see the new hd connected to the zyxel router;any suggestion?

    You normally have to configure the router to turn on sharing and adding users / adding a user to the share as well but this should be documented but this link makes it sound very simple…

    I connected an HD to the router and shared it.

    I can reach it through a PC but Node doesn't find it.

    Just type in the path manually, probably best to use the IP address rather than the name. Mine for example is \\192.168.178.10\music
