FIXED to disable volume controls
AnsweredWhen using the FIXED to disable volume controls, is the signal going thru the volume attenuator at Unity Gain (ie no increase or decrease but still going thru the attenuator circuitry) or is the volume attenuator (at its circuitry) completely bypassed?

Hi Pat, in Bluesound hardware there is no such thing as a volume attenuator or any electronic circuit involved. Volume is controlled by a combination of software and DSP.
You can see this in action by toggling on tone controls which reduces the volume to allow for the headroom for additional bass or treble all without a potentiometer involved.
