Connecting to BluOS in another VLAN on Ubituti DM SE
Hi
I have just bought a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Special Edition (UDM SE)
I have setup a VLAN for IoT units such as bluesound, Apple TV etc.
I have trouble connection to the Powernode and node (all 2i model) all connected via ethernet and all ports on switch set to IoT network.
Netwotk setup is as below:
-Interlan rounting blocked by firewall except for managment network
-Multicast DNS is applied to the IoT network
-Firewall allow for Established & Related state
I can ping items on the IoT network from managment network, so connection is established
If i connect to IoT network on WiFi i can control the units
I have also tried to open the firewall from managment network to the specific IP o fthe bluesound units without any luck
anyone who has experienced similar problems?
/Smed

You may also want to look at this. It is specific to Unifi Dream Machines - https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/6011731565975/comments/6022260952599

Couple of things, using a UDM Pro with VLANs. Go the each WiFi network that has a laptop/phone/whatever that will talk to the Node (see Snippet 1). Then, add a Mac Address Exception for the Node (or Nodes) - See Snippet 2. In this example, "Parlour" is the Ethernet MAC address of the Bluesound because in my env I am hardwire connected. You should probably put BOTH the Blusound WiFi and Ethernet Address in those boxes in case you change how your devices are attached.
