POWER BUTTON OR SWITCH ON FRONT OF DEVICES
AnsweredWhy all caps? Because the need to constantly FACTORY RESET BlueSound devices means it should be there. Using the plug is a PITA and in the case of the B100s & B400s FACTORY RESETS might involve unscrewing equipment from racks to get to the paper clip hole. Stop pretending these devices are rock solid and put an effing switch or button on them so FACTORY RESETTING isn't such a pain in the a**. I know you are going to respond with "B100s & B400s are not consumer units, blah blah" Fact of the matter IS several of these units are now in residential situations. Beyond that it is actually my Vault 2 that caused me to write this. In order to re-index I have to do the following:
1) turn off the back up drive
2) take out the network cable on all other Bluesound Devices
3) FACTORY RESET the Vault 2
4) Set up the Vault 2 again
5) Index
6) put the network cables back in the other Bluesound devices.
EVERY TIME! Now it seems the Vault 2 disappears EVERY DAY until I unplug and re-plug. Wouldn't a power switch be nice...
I just got 2 BlueSound Pulses. They would not produce a pulse wifi channel until, guess what? FACTORY RESET. When I got the NODE it would not index until I FACTORY RESET it twice. NODE 2? IT needed a FACTORY RESET when it arrived too. I think you get the idea.
