Does the soundboard have a DAC?

I'm mainly interested in the soundbar because it seems best for music, but there doesn't seem to be a DAC in it, which doesn't make sense. What's the point of having HI-RES if there's no DAC? Am I missing something?

  The Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+ does indeed have a DAC inside, as it does not have a digital output (not required) it’s not something that needs to be mentioned.
