Still no simple way to delete songs in playlists?

I know this has been requested many times in the past seven years but I cannot see that it has been implemented yet. I find it unfathomable that this is not available as it so fundamental in managing your music. Is there any intention to implement a simple delete into the contextual menu for each song or even better a swipe left function?
