NAD 368 (MDC 2i) Unable to update or retrieve BluOS
AnsweredI moved houses a couple of weeks ago. And I wanted to install my audio. Immediately I ran into issues that the device would not show up in my apps or network. So I thought I would check connections with the network (new network by the way). Here I also ran into difficulty, because the bluos App could not find the device's internal network (Wifi).
I thought of updating BluOs itself, but also here. you guessed it. No solution. The menu on the NAD C368 would only allow me to navigate to the first few options [Reboot BluOS], [Reset BluOS], and [Configuration]. But it would not allow me to navigate into the underlying options, leaving me with a bricked MCD 2i for now.
I already had some issues previously with solving the infamous 3.8.3 update. But this one leaves me in the dark completely.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi Dennis
Resetting BluOS will ‘unbrick’ your BluOS MDC as it will erase your old WiFi Settings.
If you are worried about losing Playlists, try running a network cable directly to your new router temporarily and follow www.Bluesound.com/setup instructions to set up a wifi connection over a wired Ethernet link or please email support@bluos.net and our Support Crew can walk you through this.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the quick reply on this inquiry.
You stated, "Resetting BluOS will ‘unbrick’ your BluOS MDC as it will erase your old WiFi Settings.". Does that mean I can only enter this menu by connecting it to the wifi or network in any way? And then run the setup yet again?
I'm not worried about losing the playlists and setup, that's something I can set up afterward.
kind regards,
Dennis

I am speaking about selecting Reset BluOS from the front panel. Feel free to e-mail our Support Crew at support@bluos.net if you need further assistance. They will be happy to help.
