Powernode N330 headphone jack
Hi there,
how good is the Powernodes headphone jack? I cannot find any information. What are the specs? Is it good enough for a Sennheiser HD 660 S or similar headphones? Or do I need an external headphone amplifier? And where would I plug that in?
Thank you!

The Powernode N330 features a dedicated headphone output driver.
The driver is rated 0.0055% THD @1kHz, 35mW. It is designed for use with most headphones, with a minimum impedance of 14 ohms.
This means our players should be able to drive headphones with 150 ohms.
Generally, for any headphone jack, the higher the headphone impedance, the lower the output power delivered into the headphones.

Hi Mark,
I'm fully conscious this post is a year old at the time of writing. But I was wondering if there's an issue with my unit. I'm using a pair of Sennheiser HD590 with an impedance of 120 ohms with my Powernode. The volume output on the 590 is ok although I'm having to set the volume at near max to be acceptable to my ears. This also means removing the volume limiters within the BluOS controller app.
I wanted to ask if there's a way to limit the volume based on output source - I know this is possible via presets on other outputs but I don't see an option for the 3.5mm headphone port. At the moment, I need to be conscious of volume level when switching between the headphone port and regular speakers (very loud). It's a bit arduous to have to reset the volume each time I switch between headphones and speakers.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry MB - volume limits are not independent between the headphone or terminal outputs. They share the output so your requirements are not possible natively... though the preset is a pretty good idea as a workaround.

Understood Tony, thanks for responding.
