    Hi Diedrik

Thank you for the kind words

In our latest release, BluOS 2.14.x, in Deezer (or other on demand services), open the Song's Context Menu (3 dots) and select 'Add to Playlist'. In Android or iOS, you can then chose to add to either a Deezer Playlist or BluOS Playlist and then select which Playlist you wish to add to. You can also start a new one at this point.

When Players are grouped, Audio Settings are still available to individual Players by selecting the Player Context Menu and Settings.

As for other settings such as an Alarm Clock, these will work in a hive mentality when grouped. You will have to break th group to set alarms on individual players.

We do however miss Diagnostics on individual players when grouped which can be disappointing if you are chasing wireless signal strangth and getting audio dropouts. In a web browser, you can put the Player name (no spaces) into a web browser such as Chrome or Safari and locate the diagnostics page from the on board web-server of the Player.

for example a player named Living Room visit http://livingroom/ in chrome. If you are on an iPhone or iPad, you may want to add the domain .local http://livingroom.local/.

Thanks for the answers. Al clear except the process for building a locally stored playlist.

When I select add to playlist in the context menu I get to a list of cloud based Deezer playlists. In the top of the list I only can select Deezer. When creating a new playlist I only can create a Deezer playlist.

In fact in the current app version I cannot find ANY way to build a local playlist with a Deezer track.

Same for Qobuz. I have a trial subscription and also from Qobuz I cannot add songs to a local playlist.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

Oh yes, and I remember one thing that could be improved in the app.

Would you want to consider rename the "My playlists", "My presets" and "My favourites" and leave the "My" away? At best it's "Our" since we use the system as a family, but best is just call them plain Playlists, presets and Favourites. No need to add "My" since it does not make sense in any way and comes across kind of childish. And no offense to children, but I don't see a Bluesound player as a child's toy :)

Bluesound is not the only company that steps in this oddity but I suggest you follow Apple and Microsoft who leave the "My" away for a long time already.

A minor tweak but clears things up!

  • Check out this Help Centre Article to load and change the Play Queu and then finally save it as a Playlist; https://support.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/216863587

Thanks for the feedback Diedrik - fair comment... 'My... ' is actually a common term among many software Apps but I will pass it along.

    Hi Tony,

I think we are talking a different language ;)

I read through the instructions but that is talking just the basics.

What is currently NOT possible in BluOS is adding a track (from Deezer in my case) to a local BluOS playlist from the context menu's. The option is just not there. It is just possible to add a track to a Deezer playlist, which is not what I want.

The only way to add a song to or modify a local playlist is to move it to the playing queue (first erase the existing) and add songs there and once done, save it again. This is far from ideal!

Please verify the workflow, I can replicate this bug or missing function on any iPhone or iPad.

    Cheers and keep me posted.

    Hi Deidrik

I am on an iPhone X - iOS App 2.14.2, BluOS 2.14.10 (From Help, About)

    • Select a song's context menu
    • Select Add to Playlist
    • On the Select a playlist screen, at the top, Deezer is highlighted and BluOS is not - press BluOS
    • Select the BluOS Playlist form the lists that appears

If you do not see this, please select Help, Send Support Request so we may help troubleshoot...

Hi, after several updates this bug still exists. when will you fix this? I only stream from Deezer and listen to radio stations. I don’t need or have local library so enable the Bluos playlist option when adding a track from Deezer to a locally stored playlist.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Diederik

Thanks for your patience - our engineers continue to work with Deezer to find the root of this issue and resolve it. We apologise it did not make this release.
